Georgia O’Keeffe was the first artist, other than my mom, that I became aware of as a little girl. She has always been in my life, since the very beginning.

Some of my earliest childhood memories involve cloudy images of her flower paintings. I believe these paintings to have deeply informed the way I love and witness Nature, which is somewhere between teacher and lover. A great romance for sure.

Diving deeply into her world for this Fall collection story was endlessly inspirational. Reading her words, imagining the spaces and places she devoted her life to understanding with paints and canvas, studying photographs of her and noticing the ways she expressed herself through her well-considered, finely tuned wardrobe.

This is where we begin designing our Fall 2022 Collection, with the colors and textures of O’Keeffe’s Naturescope and her commitment to minimalism, utility and necessity.

My most favorite book of her work and of great inspiration to me is simply titled ‘Georgia O’Keeffe. It’s no longer in print. It is also the only book published with her participating while she was still living. If you can get your hands on a copy, I hope it moves you the way it moves me. I’d love to know what you think. And equally important I hope you love and enjoy this collection as much as I did creating it.

In the LA store I have created a special ‘Homage’ installation to my first (and one of my greatest) influencers, so please come down and visit, and reminisce in yours.

With love,
